Itinerary

Before Day 1: Early arrival to Martinique

If you want to explore Martinique, come one day earlier and let us know which hotel are you staying in Fort-de-France. We will organise for you and other guests private tour around the island on the next day.

Day 1: Optional tour of Martinique/Embarkation on the catamaran at Le Marin

For those who arrived one day earlier, there is an optional tour of Martinique. The itinerary includes the botanical garden Jardin de Balata, the reconstructed slave village “Le Savane des Esclaves,”, Habitation Clement – rum distillery surrounded by a beautiful park and sculpture garden, as well as the Cap 110 Memorial and Les Anses-d’Arlet – a charming town with a beautiful pier, a small church, and colorful fishing boats.

All guests will be welcomed between 5 – 6 pm with a refreshing cocktail on the AKUA AMINATA board. The skipper will  introduce the sailing itinerary, safety rules, and the living arrangements on the catamaran. Then we will do some shopping for the next few days and go together to marina for dinner.

Day 2: Martinique > St. Lucia

After breakfast, the skipper will brief us on the day’s itinerary, and after enjoying our morning coffee, we’ll set sail on the first leg of our journey from Martinique (Le Marin) towards St. Lucia. We will anchor at Rodney Bay. It’s time for a well-deserved “anchor” beer or cocktail.

Day 3: St. Lucia: Rodney Bay > Pitons Bay

For those who want to explore St. Lucia, there is an optional tour that includes visiting the Diamond Botanical Gardens, where the beauty and lush greenery of the tropics provide a backdrop to the Diamond Waterfall, which changes colors throughout the year due to the mixture of rainwater and volcanic minerals that flows down the falls.

We will also visit Sulphur Springs, the hottest and most active geothermal area in the Lesser Antilles, where you can enjoy a mud bath, and Project Chocolate, a rainforest where you will learn about cocoa cultivation, plant our own cocoa tree, and make your own chocolate.

For those who prefer to stay on the catamaran, you can admire the coast of St. Lucia during the sail from Rodney Bay to Pitons Bay.

The Pitons, two twin volcanic peaks rising from the sea, which are featured on the flag of St. Lucia, will surely captivate everyone.

Day 4: St. Lucia: Pitons Bay > Marigot Bay

Today is a lazy day. We slowly sail to Marigot Bay, an idyllic, very romantic bay, with shallow water and lots of nice and cozy places for dinner.

Day 5: St. Lucia > Martinique: Anse-de-Arlet

It is time to come back to Martinique. We anchor in front of Anse-de-Arlet, small, very picturesque and colorful town with lovely pier and a small church.

Day 6: Martinique: Anse-de-Arlet > Le Marin

Slowly coming back to Le Marin, we will stop for a lunch in a nice bay for a swim and snorkel and then come back to marina Pleasance. It’s time for the farewell dinner and last rum punch in Kokoarum bar.

Day 7: Disembarkation

The check out from the boat is at 10am so you will have a lot of time to catch your flight home.
