Skippered Sailing Holiday Caribbean

After arriving on Martinique and the transfer from the airport to the marina we will welcome you on board of our catamaran with a nice refreshing cocktail. The skipper will shortly tell you all you need to know for a pleasant and safe stay on your floating home fore the next 2 weeks.

We will appoint you your cabin and after taking a refreshing shower it will probably be time for a nice dinner in the marina.

After breakfast the skipper will show you the route for the next days and after enjoying coffee in the marina we will get the last fresh groceries. When everybody is ready we set sail for our first leg and head for St. Lucia.

After three to four hours of sailing in the best conditions imaginable we drop anker in front of the white beaches of Rodney Bay. Time for a well deserved anker beer (or cocktail if you want).

Today will be a short sailing trip. We sail along the green coast of St. Lucia, heading South and drop anchor at Soufriere. This typical West-Indian village is well worth a visit.

If you want more action you can take a jungle tour with a guide. Or you go and snorkel.

We spend the night at anchor in this beautiful setting at the foot of the famous Pitons. Two impressive mountains that are the island’s national symbols.

Today is on of the longest legs of our sailing holiday. We set sail to St. Vincent. A 35 mile journey, approximately 6 to 7 hours of sailing. When we arrive at St. Vincent we anchor at Wallilabou Bay. You might regognize this bay because it’s the set of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. A beautiful spot where we can easily spend two days.

Did you know that St. Vincent is famous for its tropical rain forest and its beautiful waterfalls?

We’ll be sailing 15 miles today. So no hurry. Before we leave we can all take a walk to the beautiful waterfalls of St. Vincent or dive into the chrystal clear waters and enjoy a swim.

We set sail to the most Northern Island of the Grenadines: Bequai. We anchor at a pearly white beach where we will find typical Caribbean bars where we can enjoy the best cocktails ever!

Today we’ll have a short sailing trip to Mayreau. We anchor at Salt Whistle Bay. Here at the South end of the island there is a beautiful coral reef. It is worth our while to stop and anchor here. In the near-by village there is a vegetable market and there are a few little restaurants where we can enjoy fresh lobsters.

After breakfast we can visit the market and get ourselves some fresh vegetables for lunch or dinner.

When we are all on board again we head for the Tobago Cays. Without a doubt you will agree that these 5 Islands are gems. The double ‘horse shoe’ reef protects us from the swell of the Atlantic and offers us magnificent anchors spots. Snorkling here is an absolute delight. These islands are, without a doubt, the most beautiful islands of the entire Caribbean. We will most likely stay here an extra day to relax, sun bathe and enjoy the peace and quietness of the island. We can also enjoy a barbecue with lobster and fish on the beautiful white beach.

Probably we will stay at the Tobago Cays. Snorkling here is beautiful and we will enjoy the scenery, the quietness and white beaches.

Today we set sail to Union Island. Most probably we will stop underway at Palm Island. The best place to stop and swim and walk bare foot on the pearly white coral sand and count the palm trees on this island.

Then we’ll head to Union Island. The funny thing here is that every other building is either a supermarket or a bar or a little shop. It’s a great local mix of everything. Tonight we choose if we want to have a cosy dinner at Lambi or dine at restaurant Anchorage.

Today we sail to Mustique. This is the island of the ‘rich and famous’ steeped in history and surrounded by intrique. You could end up drinking a cocktail while sitting next to Hugh Grant or another famous star.

You can rent a jeep, motor bike or a horse here or take a walk along the beautiful island.

After enjoying our delicious breakfast we set sail to Young Island at St. Vincent.

22 miles is not too long a sail. So there will be plenty of time to visit beautiful scenic creole villages on the island or enjoy a walk trough the jungle and see waterfalls. At night we will enjoy a sunset with a real Piña Colada.

Ready for a long sail? Today we’ll do a 38 miles leg. We head back to St. Lucia. We anchor at the most beautiful bay of the island: Marigot Bay. After a long day of sailing we will enjoy the cocktail and the beautiful sunset even more!

Near this bay is the biggest Caribbean banana plantation. Be asured that bananas taste better here then on any other place on earth.

Today is the last crossing. We set sail to Martinique. We dock the boat at the marina of Le Marin. Here we can enjoy our last meal together in one of the may restaurants in the Marina.

The last day of this sailing holiday in Paradise. Afer breakfast we leave the boat and spend our last day on Martinique. A visit to the capital of the island is worth your while but also a visit to one of the many sugar plantations will be very interesting. But if you just want to enjoy the sun and beach on your last day, you can just relax, take a good book and lay on the beach.
