Caribbean Bridge Cruise

Sail by day, play by night

Have you ever played bridge on a Caribbean beach, watching the sun set with a glass of smooth rum punch in hand? If that idea appeals to you, join Bridge & Breeze — a unique Caribbean bridge cruise organized by Sailing Dutchman. This skippered catamaran bridge cruise in the Caribbean is created for bridge lovers who want to combine their passion for the game with a relaxed tropical sailing adventure.

A unique Bridge Flotilla in the Caribbean

Around 12–20 international bridge players sail together on two or three comfortable catamarans, forming a dedicated Caribbean bridge flotilla. By day, we explore beautiful islands, swim in turquoise waters with turtles, and enjoy warm sea breezes. By evening, we come together for friendly bridge sessions at sunset, surrounded by golden skies and the natural beauty of the Caribbean.

This Caribbean bridge cruise experience blends sailing and bridge in perfect balance — relaxed, social, and stress‑free. Expect good vibes, pure chill, and great company from across the world.

Join us on Bridge & Breeze and discover why playing bridge in the Caribbean has never felt — or looked — so beautiful.

Caribbean bridge cruise itinerary

Day 1: Check-in on catamaran

Around 3:00 pm we will welcome everyone on board the catamarans. The skipper will present the sailing itinerary, safety rules, and life on board. Afterwards, we will head to our first bridge tournament, followed by a group dinner at the Le Marin marina.

Day 2: Martinique > St. Lucia

After breakfast, we set sail on our first leg from Le Marin (Martinique) towards Saint Lucia. We will anchor in legendary Marigot Bay — one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean. This is where scenes from Doctor Dolittle and Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed.
This day we take a break from bridge on land, but we will play a tournament on board the yachts, followed by a group dinner at a local tavern.

Day 3: St. Lucia: Marigot Bay > Soufriere

For those interested, there is an optional island tour. The program includes a visit to the Diamond Botanical Gardens with lush tropical vegetation and the Diamond Falls waterfall, as well as Sulphur Springs — the hottest and most active geothermal area in the Lesser Antilles. You’ll enjoy a therapeutic mud bath followed by a refreshing swim at the warm Pitons Falls.
Guests who choose not to join the tour will sail with us towards Soufrière, where we will anchor overnight and play another round of the tournament.

Day 4: St. Lucia > St. Vincent

We arrive at Saint Vincent, the largest island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. We will anchor in Wallilabou Bay, famous for its pirate‑style atmosphere.
Today, we will play a bridge tournament in a local tavern, which served as a filming location for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man’s Chest.

Day 5: St. St. Vincent > Bequia

After breakfast, an optional excursion to Dark View Falls awaits. This trip offers a glimpse into the island’s local character and the chance to swim beneath impressive black waterfalls cascading over basalt rock formations.
Around lunchtime, we sail to Bequia, known as the “Big Little Island.” It is one of our favorite stops, famous for the iconic Rendezvous Bar, popular with both locals and visitors. After our visit to Rendezvous Bar, we will head to our friends Gladwyn and Linda, who run a small local restaurant. There, we will play a bridge tournament followed by a delicious dinner.

Day 6: Bequia > Mayreau

After a morning stroll along the promenade, we sail to Mayreau — the smallest inhabited island in the Grenadines, covering just 3.8 km² and home to around 300 residents.
We will anchor in the stunning Salt Whistle Bay, a naturally sheltered bay with golden sand and crystal‑clear turquoise water.
In the evening, Donna will set up bridge tables for us on the beach and treat us to a true Caribbean feast. Every group so far has been absolutely delighted with both the location and the food.

Day 7: Mayreau > Tobago Cays

Today is the absolute highlight of the trip — with no rush at all. After a morning swim in Salt Whistle Bay, we enjoy a short 30‑minute sail to the Tobago Cays — five uninhabited islands often called the “crown jewels” of the southern Grenadines.
We will anchor in a marine reserve surrounded by a coral reef, where we can snorkel with turtles. In the evening, we’ll hold a beach bridge tournament, followed by the ultimate highlight: a lobster barbecue on the beach.

Day 8: Tobago Cays > Bequia

We return to Bequia to soak up its unique atmosphere once again. It’s worth hopping into a local pickup truck to visit Fort Hamilton and enjoy spectacular views over Admiralty Bay.
In the evening, we’ll visit Linda and Gladwyn again to play another bridge tournament and enjoy dinner together.

Day 9: Bequia > St Vincent

We return to Saint Vincent, this time anchoring in the picturesque Chateaubelair Bay, with views of rows of palm trees and untouched coastline.
Today, we’ll play bridge on board the catamarans 😊

Day 10: St Vincent > St Lucia

On our way back to Saint Lucia, we will stop at Rodney Bay to enjoy the island one last time.

Day 11: St Lucia > Martinique

In the morning, there is time to explore Pigeon Island — a scenic peninsula combining wild nature, colonial ruins, and spectacular Caribbean views.
Afterwards, we sail back to Martinique, where we will play the farewell bridge tournament, award prizes to the winners, and enjoy our final dinner together.

Day 12: Check-out

Getting off the catamaran is around 10am so you will have plenty of time to leisurely return to Fort-de-France and catch your flight back home.
